How to Use the AI Agent with PDNob - User Guide
PDNob PDF Editor's AI Agent lets you perform PDF actions using natural language. There's no need to hunt for the right tool — just describe what you want to do, and the AI identifies your intent and runs the matching PDF feature automatically. It currently supports common actions like OCR, PDF conversion, and PDF compression, simplifying your workflow and saving time.

Open the AI Assistant
Launch PDNob PDF Editor, open the PDF you want to work with, then open the AI Assistant panel on the right.

Choose or Type What You Need
You can specify the action you want in either of two ways:
- Click one of the suggested actions in the panel, such as "Convert," "OCR," or "Compress."
- Type your request directly into the input box, or type "/" to bring up the menu of supported AI actions.
The AI identifies your request and generates a matching action card for you to confirm.

Run the PDF Action
After confirming, click "Run" to start processing the file. If you decide not to proceed, click "Cancel" to return to the conversation.
Once a task starts, the system automatically calls the matching PDF tool to process the file. While processing is underway, the document is temporarily unavailable for editing, annotating, or other actions.

Check the Result
When the task finishes, the AI returns the result and shows where the output file was saved. Click the result to open the containing folder and continue working with the processed PDF.
